Friend2Friend created a compelling and interactive fan page for one of Harvard Business School’s largest and most venerable alumni organizations.

The Harvard Business School Association of Northern California is one of the largest and longest-standing alumni organizations of Harvard Business School, which not only offers events and networking for HBS alumni, but also provides volunteer consulting services to Bay-area nonprofits. Based in Silicon Valley, this organization strives to be technologically savvy and forward-thinking. The club wanted to keep up with current trends by establishing a presence on Facebook that reflected the professionalism and quality of the Harvard name.
In a pro-bono project, Friend2Friend created HBSANC’s Facebook Fan page targeting the approximately 3,000 HBS alumni located in the Bay Area. Friend2Friend used high-quality visuals and added an events tab that pulled data from the HBSANC website so that events are updated automatically. They also provided the club with guidelines and tools for encouraging current club members to become fans and for creating engagement and interaction.
After release, the club’s fan page quickly had over 100 fans, and continue to gain new fans on a regular basis. Compared to a Facebook group they had started on their own which had stalled at 8 members, this level of activity with very little investment of time by the club was considered a tremendous success. They look forward to even more growth over time, and to using their fan page as a new avenue for connecting with members and potential members.
